| Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between Winabobatoo and Mr Gekko Bets?
To clarify the difference:
Winabobatoo will be providing the raw ratings and a number of systems based around the ratings such as the home zone system. The difference this year is that Mike Lindley of Winabobatoo will no longer constrained by providing ‘bets’ he will provide a number of systems with differing aims and angles. For example (Don’t quote us on this) there may be a long shots system, a ‘shorties’ system, a premiership system etc. The onus with be on the individual to pick and choose the systems they feel suit their betting style.
The difference is that in past seasons Mike will have said "this is a bet" This season its “Here's the qualifiers from around 10 systems I'm not going to tell you which ones to bet on, you choose”.
By contrast, the Gekko service will offer straight bets at a set time while watching the market prices for changes in value. For example, if something wasn’t quite a qualifier on Friday, odds might change on Saturday to make it a qualifier. In other words, a formal tipping service using what we believe to be a very strong, diversified selection methodology.
Winabobatoo is aimed at:
-
People who want to use the ratings for their own bets.
-
People who want to pick and choose between systems.
Benefits: Ability to research and flexibility of systems provided.
Gekko is aimed at:
- People who just want straight tips.
Benefits: Straight tips provided within a consistent time window based on a diversified system.
- Can I join both Winabobatoo and Mr Gekko Bets?
Quite a number of people have expressed an interest in joining both services. We’re delighted that the new project has caught the imagination of so many. We want to issue a note of caution:
Whilst the games highlighted through the Winabobatoo Systems and the bets identified by Mr Gekko are done completely independently of each other, there is bound to be some, albeit totally unintentional, overlap of information. We believe this to be no more than a 10-20% overlap in some cases as judged by the 2009/10 season, however as there are a number of new systems being introduced by Winabobatoo this year, we are unable to be certain of the level of overlap this season.
Therefore, at this stage, we cannot recommend that you join both services. We will monitor and review matters between September and December. Only at this point will we be able to give further guidance.
- Why offer this service?
Good question! The over-riding reason is that we believe it to have a discernable edge over the bookmaker and therefore be of interest to SBC members. Our 2 existing Premium Services have proven very successful with both showing a steady ROI and profit over the long-term. By also offering a SBC led Premium service, it enables us to provide a genuine, affordable product that members can join in confidence.
We also felt to a degree that the strength of the Winabobatoo ratings were not being fully utilised and wanted to tap into this on members behalf.
- When can I join?
On the 17th June we will send those of you on the priority notification list details on how to make payment and join.
- Will I be able to pay in installments
Yes, details of this will be available on the 17th June.
- Has SBC proofed this advice?
Yes, this system has been developed and proofed internally as well as to Mike Lindley of Winabobatoo and Greg from our group of testers.
- Why should I trust something you have proofed yourself?
All our reviews and reports on tipsters are based upon our own proofing although we understand that in this case, we have a direct financial link with this service.
We would like to believe over the 4+ years that SBC has been in existence we have shown ourselves to have our members best interests at heart. We would never look to undermine this trust by developing a Premium service for something we didn’t believe in.
We would also point you in the direction of our 2 other Premium tips services, Each Way Value & Four Pronged Attack, which both continue to generate a 20%+ ROI long-term for members.
- Why not provide the advice for free?
Whilst the concept of receiving something for free is appealing it isn’t always practical as those involved with this service deserve to receive payment for their time and effort. By charging a reasonable fee we can therefore ensure a fully professional, well-run operation with good customer service and full attention to detail is on offer.
- Where will this advice be proofed?
This service will be proofed to www.sports-tipsters.co.uk and Pro Gambler
- Will SBC be reporting on Winabobatoo in the future?
No as this we believe would represent a conflict of interest, therefore we will not be reporting back on the performance of the Winabobatoo service to avoid this.
- Will you provide SMS alerts with bets?
No as due to the info we need to supply in each email, this just isn’t practical as it could lead to 3-4 text messages per email.
- How many bets a week will there be?
We anticipate there will be around 10-20 bets per week, split between weekends and midweek. This though does depend on the amount of fixtures in any given week.
- Which bookmakers should I have accounts with?
As a bare minimum we suggest you have accounts open with the following 5 bookmakers: Pinnacle, 5 Dimes, 188bet, 12bet and SBOBet. We also recommend that you where possible you have accounts with as many bookmakers as possible, in order to take advantage of the best prices available.
